Smiles has lyrics by J. Will Callahan and and music by Lee S. Roberts, but most of all it has early color cover art of a beautiful young woman embodying the title with a lovely smile. Published in 1918 at the end of World War I by Lee Robberts and transferred to Jerome Remick in 1918. The cover art is very reflective of the period, and this was part of the estate of a Broadway musician M. Allen and was signed and dated by him on the cover October 11, 1918 which is a special touch many collectors seek out. It has a few minor edge tears but all in all is in very good condition for the age and has great color retention to the cover art. It measures approximately 13.75" x 10.5" and could make a great surprise gift for someone you love.
