Super
cute and incredibly realistic set of 3 vintage hanging Italian ceramic
fruit, vegetable & nut baskets. The three baskets are red ripe
radishes, nuts, and we're guessing figs or dates in the third. Each
basket is approximately 2.5" in diameter, 1.75" high not including
the 2.5" high wire hanger, and colorfully painted and glazed. Each
basket his a wire hanger attached as the handle, and they look great
hanging beneath kitchen cabinets. The bottoms are marked with the
manufacturer's name and castle mark, plus "Made in Italy." Excellent
condition, direct from a Vermont country estate. /38cp |

Old
1930s ceramic folk art depiction of a young man taking his siesta
in the doorway with a chicken standing near, colorful exposed bricks
above where the plaster of his home has chipped away. Note the chicken
in the foreground and the colorful belongings hanging on the fireplace.
This 1938 work is signed on the back "July, 1938 Aunt Ann"
and measures approximately 9.25" high, 6.75" wide, and 1.0" deep,
and it's in excellent condition with no chips or damage and 95%
of the original paint and color. It has a wire hanger on the rear

Very
pretty mid-century ceramic farmhouse cookie jar, with a rich mustard
and brown glaze and good farmhouse detail in the form. It's a whimsical
and fun piece for any kitchen, and it's a nice size at approximately
7.0" x 4.5" and 5.75" high. While a cookie jar per
se, the size makes it very flexible to use in a variety of different
ways. It's in excellent condition and unmarked, direct from a Melbourne,
Florida waterfront estate and priced to sell. |

New
listing! Take your pick of very hard to find Frankoma Pottery collector
Christmas plates in mint condition, designed by Joniece Frank, daughter
of John Frank (founder of Frankoma Pottery). 1 Faith, Home,
and Love from 1984. 2 For Thee I Play My Drums from 1986.
3 God's Chosen Family from 1987. Each plate has the impressed
Frankoma mark on the back along with Jonice Frank's signature and
the J.F. copyright for the year the plate was issued. Frankoma Pottery
was founded by John Frank, born in Chicago on January 31, 1905.
A university art teacher, he accepted a position at the University
of Oklahoma's newly created Ceramic Art Department where he taught
courses in ceramics from 1927 to 1936. Frank met Grace Lee Bowman
on January 30, 1928, and they married the following September on
the bride's twenty-third birthday. While Frank was still teaching,
the couple purchased a small building in Norman, Oklahoma to house
their new business, Frank Potteries, which later became Frankoma
Potteries. John Frank passed away in 1973, and his youngest daughter
Joniece took over operations. A fire hit the plant in September,
1983, but the Frankoma molds survived because of John Frank's foresight
in arranging for storage of the molds in a fireproof room. The plant
was quickly rebuilt and production restarted by July, 1984, and
Frankoma continued production until December 31, 2004.
These Frankoma Joniece
Frank designed Christmas plates measure approximately 8.0"
in diameter, have holes for a wall hanger on the rear, and are
in excellent condition, coming to you direct from a Portland,
Oregon estate collection of vintage Frankoma pottery exclusive
to Collectics.

Pretty
marked Italian Deruta ceramic hand painted dish standing approximately
1.0" high and 8.0" in diameter. The stylized floral, fruit,
and leaf hand painted decoration is exceptionally well done in typically
vibrant Italian colors and it's incredibly lifelike, and it combines
painted decoration with incised lines in the pottery to create additional
decorative and three dimensional effects. We love the antique forest
green trim line, and the plate is ready to hang on the wall or looks
great on a display stand. On the bottom is the mark "Deruta
240/20" and the artists initials, and it's in excellent condition
direct from a Palm Springs, CA estate. /26 |

with any Art Deco inspired decor, and each measures approximately
4.5" high and 3.5" in diameter. They retain their original
labels from the Toyo Trading Company and come direct from a Kansas
City, MO estate liquidation. |

A
hard to find set of 4 marked Frankoma coffee cups came to us from
an oceanfront estate in Isle of Palms, SC that are looking for a
coffee lover and Frankoma collector home. These mugs are a really
large size for that piping hot first cup of coffee, measuring approximately
5.25" high and 3.25" in diameter not including the handle.
We really like the impressed design, somewhat reminiscent of Aztec
and Inca patterns, and the off white glaze color. Each of the 4
mugs is in excellent condition and properly marked on the bottoms

Everyone
loves a bunny, and this vintage ceramic rabbit planter is very hard
to find and comes to you in excellent condition from a Lexington,
Kentucky estate consignment of vintage pet and animal collectibles.
We love the color and glaze of this bunny, and the sitting position
is much more unusual from the usual sitting positions you see in
most rabbits. It's a nice size measuring approximately 6.5"
long head to tail, 3.25" wide, and 3.5" high. Antique
and vintage animal planters are much in demand from both collectors
and those just looking to spice up their house with some whimsical
and unique vintage home furnishings. |

Super
hand painted decorated Italian ceramic pitcher features a bottle
of chianti and some cheese all ready to eat. It's a good size at
approximately 6.75" high and 4.0" in diameter, suited
for a variety of uses including cream, milk, gravy, syrup, and more.
We love the detail of the painting on this little pitcher, and of
couse the theme itself usually makes me hungry for some good food
and wine. It's in very good condition with no chips or damage and
only modest staining from use on the interior, part of a major European
consignment of midcentury vintage ceramics exclusive to Collectics. |
