Mint condition, early 19th century German porcelain bisque figurine of a young man playing a musical instrument in the woods, lamb resting at his feet. Both hands grasp the unusual fluted instrument which he plays with a stylish hat on his head and a fur pelt wrapped around his body and hanging down (note the head to the left below the bag that hangs from his waist). The facial detail in particular and everything else about this piece indicates the high quality used by the best European manufacturers at the turn of the century. The figurine stands a full 16.0" tall and is in excellent condition. rb
