Fun
sterling silver fish charm is a fine example of "metales casados"
and is a unique blend of sterling silver with gold, copper, and
enamel highlights that reflects high quality craftsmanship and a
super design. The colors make it much more interesting and realistic
than sterling silver alone, and the overall effect is one of added
realism for the piece that really draws the eye. The tropical fish
is also a very interesting shape, and it has a small hole on the
upper fin ready for your favorite chain to make it into one of your
most interesting accessories. Marriage of Metal or "metales casados"
is an ancient Mexican metal technique which dates back to at least
2500 B.C. It is known to have been used in the Olmeca, Monte Alban
and Zapoteca cultures and most certainly by the Mayans. It is a
way of combining two or more different matals; silver, brass, copper
and other metals in designs. Pieces made with this method are each
truly one of a kind. It comes to Collectics through a Bristol, TN
estate collection and is in excellent condition, measuring approximately
2.5" high and 2.0" wide. It's well marked on the back
"TU-06", "Mexico", and "Metales Casados".

Outstanding
ceramic horse TV lamp, one of the best we've ever seen with the
fabric backing and hand stiched detail that is incredibly hard to
find and practically impossible to find in this near mint condition.
The overall design look of this TV lamp is truly outstanding, and
we love the horse theme and the action oriented gallop pose that
is captured in the ceramic. This lamp looks as good with the light
on as the light off, and by the way the light bulb is in the back
so the soft, ambient lighting shines through from the rear of the
lamp and puts the black horse in front in silhouette. The material
backing has the loosely woven look of linen on the bottom, with
a slight green tent, while the upper fabric provides a canopy that
gives the lamp a 3 dimensional look. It has been treated in some
manner to make it stiffer and more substantial, almost like a coating
used to preserve Egyptian mummy wrappings. The lamp measures approximately
9.0" high at the highest point, and it's 10.0" wide and
5.5" deep at the longest points. It's marked on the back "965"
in the ceramic, and we think this is probably a Royal Haeger lamp
that lost its paper sticker; cross listed on Lamps 2.

long and 0.5" wide. The horse is nicely rendered in the lucite center,
making for a three dimensional effect. The pin is very pretty and

listing! Marked Hallmark Dutch artist Marjolein Bastin bird and
birdhouse pin has terrific detailing in both the bird house and
the little gold bird. It's a whimsical little piece that will catch

Cute
framed postcard of Santa's Christmas Poodle Sleigh! At first we
thought this was a print, but the backing was removed from the frame
to reveal the Avanti "12 Dogs of Christmas" card inside.
The frame is a nice goldtone metal 7.25" high and 5.25"
wide, and there is a hook on the top to hang on the wall. The frame
is missing a back and can be replaced with cardboard or similar
cover material. Buy it for the frame or buy it for the poodle postcard
and a sure conversation piece or an attention getting gift!

Very
cool midcentury ceramic donkey planter has a rich brown glaze and
striated white to brown decoration on the donkey's head and on his
back around the planter portion of the pottery. We love his fun,
whimsical facial expression looking down a bit with ears raised,
and his 2 front legs are crossed for a little added flair. This
vintage 1950s / 1960s ceramic donkey planter measures approximately
10.0" head to tail, 4.5" wide, and 10.25" high to
the top of his ears. It's in very good condition with a bit of roughness,
probably original to the manufacture but possibly from age wear,
around the perimeter of the planter portion of the ceramic donkey.
The bottom of one foot is marked USA; we believe this is probably
Royal Haeger missing its paper label as is the case with many (most)

The casting is well above average in attention and precision to
detail, and the fundamental design is pretty striking with the dog
emerging from the textured background, one paw up in the air. We
all particularly liked the focused look on the dog's face- just
a very fun and whimsical set of vintage bookends great as a gift
for any dog lover. These are both in very good condition measuring
approximately 2.75" wide, 3.25" deep, and 5.75" high,

Fun
and whimsical framed vintage poodle print is quite unique and eye
catching in its detail and its theme. This eclectic poodle collectible
features a finely detailed poodle portrait in the middle of a fun
coat of arms with poodles standing guard on each side, and below
is the caption "The Poodle - A Noble Nature Incapable of Deceit."
For a final added and French flair so to speak, the caption at the
top of the coat of arms below the face reads "Chien Canne."
On the back of the print, you'll love reading about the poodle history
as a "very active, intelligent and elegant looking dog, squarely
built, well proportioned, moving soundly and carrying himself proudly."
At the bottom is an explanation of the coat of arms including the
Chien Canne caption "meaning duck dog in French and the poodle
supporters on either side of the shield "represent the discipline,

Very
fine Secla Portugal covered duck, and colorful and whimsical design
with a degree of realism you find only with the best ceramics manufacturers.
The duck upper cover is nicely textured in the ceramic for an added
degree of realism in the feathers and tail, and note the rear feet
sticking out in the back just above the basket. The lower dish has
a woven texture that nicely complements the duck sitting above.
The piece measures approximately 5.5" high, 7.5" long,
and 3.5" wide, and it's in excellent condition and properly

Here
is a wonderful horse ring dish and covered box set from the mid
sixties. The ring dish measures 4.0" long and 3" wide
and is marked on the bottom H. D. Ammerman 1965. The box measures
4.75" long, 3.5" wide and 1.5" tall. This 1960's
set is inscribed "Created for John Mckenzie & Co., Inc.
by H. D. Ammerman , 1965". The gold trim is intact and the
set is without chips or dings. It's a fun horse set for use in
any room of your house.

set of 8 aluminum drink coasters with a terrific bird scene flying
down into the reeds and water on the front and the analogous scene
in reverse on the back. This is because the scene is pressed into
the coaster to create a raised surface on the top and an impressed
surface on the back, but both capturing the nicely detailed waterfowl
scene. Each of the set of 8 coasters is in very good condition and
