One of our favorite vintage costume jewelry designers, Renoir was founded in Los Angeles, California in 1946 by Jerry Fels, whose family also founded another important name in 20th century costume jewelry Matisse. This is a nice goldtone metal Renoir bangle from the Auteur series, featuring nicely textured bracelet surface in a leaf pattern. It also has a nice width, measuring approximately 0.25" wide and with a 2.75" diameter. It's a popular series, and the bangle is properly marked on the interior with the Renoir Auteur oval mark and copyright symbol. The bracelet is in excellent condition, part of an exclusive Hilton Head, SC estate consignment.
