Highly detailed hand painted Victorian screw on earrings c 1920s / 1930s, probably Italian, that combine an inset painting of a young couple sitting together in the countryside in an ornate Victorian metal frame that really complements the design. The screws are hidden by a clever hand worked flower blossom matched perfectly to the body of the earrings. The detail in the metalwork is as impressive and scarce as is the painting itself, and they combine into a special piece at a special price. Measuring approximately 1.5" x 1.0" not including the flower covering the screws, it comes to you direct from a large Atlanta, Georgia estate full of early 20th century finds and are in very good condition. /42
