Outstanding
original signed and numbered print by Gabriel
Portoles with the original certificate of
authentication by the Collector's Guild
of New York. Portoles was born in 1930 in
Jaca, Spain and is one of Spain's most exciting
artists. He is known as a master of "retablo"
painting, or works that have a historical
or allegorical context. The colors in this
work are vivid and vibrant, the textural
and color transitions giving it a kind of
collage effect. The prints is signed by
the artist and is numbered 115/275, and
the print is in excellent condition. The
print itself measures approximately 19.0"
wide and 13.5" high, and the frame measures
25.0" wide and 19.0" high. An interesting
bio of the artist is attached to the rear,
consigned from a major Greenwich, CT estate.
