Ornate metal frame is magnificent in itself, but it contains curved glass and an incredibly detailed, emotive image of a young girl praying within to make this a very special find. We love the frame, highly detailed and clearly the work of very skilled craftsmen, and it measures approximately 21.0" high including the crown and 15.0" wide. The image is well embedded inside the frame, and we do not wish to dislodge it to examine the work very closely but it appears to be a lithograph. The frame and curved glass would highlight any photograph or print you choose to insert, but we and those we consulted believe the image of the young girl has a strong value to complement the obvious value of the frame. All period and old, it was lifted off the wall of a Greenwich Village townhouse mansion in New York City; cross listed on Art 3.
