New
Listing! Rare L. C. Tiffany 8.5" high Tel El Amarna vase with
magnificent and highly detailed top decoration in iridescent colors
of blue/purple, gold/cranberry, and green. Tel El Amarna vases were
extremely hard to manufacture with over 90% cracked or fractured
in the firing process, making perfect ones even more rare and commanding
astronomical prices. This example does have a minor internal fracture
on the lower portion, just above the base and where the glass curves
inward. It is very difficult to see this fracture when the vase
is standing upright in normal light, so we had to take it outside
into sunlight and hold it at an angle to photograph it. The combination
of the location (low) and the way it blends into the green makes
it hard to see absent close examination and light at a certain angle.
This is a great opportunity to own and enjoy a period Tiffany Studios
Tel El Amarna vase at a price that is within reach for many collectors.
Properly marked on the bottom L C Tiffany Favrile 6458 E. A real
work of art and almost impossible to find. Guaranteed to be period
Tiffany. /2800 |

Wonderful
period LC Tiffany Favrile gold iridescent decorated vase standing
approximately 7" high and 3.5" wide at the widest point. The vase
has a beautiful iridescence and a unique shape bulbous at the top
and narrowing at the bottom. The decoration is quite well done and
separates works like this from more common plain Tiffany iridescent
works. The bottom is properly marked L.C.T. 1103. The vase is in
mint condition save a tiny chip on the bottom of the vase
approximately 0.5" long and less than 0.25" wide. It just barely
rises about 0.10" above the bottom of the vase on the edge but does
not rise above the flared bottom, so it is not noticeable when the
vase stands upright. Guaranteed to be period L. C. Tiffany Favrile
glass. The orange color in the photograph is more a flash reflection;
the vase is a gold iridescent glass with lighter gold coloration
at the top and darker gold highlights outlining the top decoration.

Thai
or Chinese aged bronze Buddha displaying the samadhi mudra, or the
gesture of absolute balance of meditation, with both hands placed
on the lap, fingers touching and the palms facing upwards. The styling
is characteristic of the late Sukhothai period; late 14th - early
15th centuries. Thai Buddha statues of this period display the full
influences of Sri Lanka arts as an increasingly prosperous Siam
(Thailand) adopted the Lanka sect of Buddhism. This impressive older
replica of an ancient Buddha measures approximately 6.75"
high and 5.0" wide, and 4.5" deep. A charming piece of Buddhist
devotional art at a great price, from a St. Louis, MO estate full
of Asian art. |

Rare
and unique set of C. Voltz French redware, all in mint condition
and all properly marked. Voltz work is substantial and heavy and
uses high quality clay, and the unique and lustrous red glaze is
truly brilliant. Also, with this particular set, we think you'll
agree that it's also quite a design statement. 1. Set of
5 coffee cups and saucers, the cups standing 2.5" high and just
over 3" in diameter while the saucers are 6.5" in diameter. Price
includes set of 5 cups and saucers. 2. Set of 5 Voltz salad
plates 7.75" in diameter. 3. Voltz open sugar, the bottom
slightly larger in diameter (4.0") than the top opening (3.25")
for a nice effect. It stands approximately 2.25" high. |

listing, and what a listing it is! Rare pinched and iridized lava
flow Bohemian art glass vase is in mint condition with absolutely
no chips or damage of any kind. This high quality example of early
20th century Bohemian art glass production stands approximately
7.5" high and is pinched on three sides for some added flair. In
fact, the pinching also helps to capture the light, bringing even
more to life the incredibly vivid colors of blue, purple, gold,
and others which differentiate the iridescence of this magnificent
vase. This piece could have been produced by several different factories
doing this type of art glass during this period, combining subtle
but innovative forms with very advanced techniques in the use of
color and artistic methods such as feathering. The top opening of
the vase measures 3.75" in diameter and the base measures 3.5" in
diameter; it flares to about 5.5" wide at the widest point. It's
got a great look sure to generate questions and complements, and
it's priced at a point to be enjoyed by both beginning and advanced
collectors. |

Excellent
condition Daum Nancy glass bowl in the Art Deco style, c. 1930.
This is a real beauty of hand blown glasswork, so different from
the cameo glass Daum produced mostly earlier in the century. It's
decorated with flowing lines around the entire perimeter of the
bowl, and interspersed are mottled circular areas that really stand
out and afford a type of three dimensional depth to the piece. The
bowl measures approximately 6.0" high, 4.0" in diameter at the top,
and about 8.0" in diameter at the widest point. It is properly marked
on the lower rim of the base Daum Nancy France along with the Cross
of Lorraine. |

listing! Vintage stick pin pin in 14k gold with real rose cut diamonds
and pearls decorating this unique turn of the century piece. During
that period, older Victorian era stick pins were reset into larger
pins comprising multiple of the Victorian pins and which were thus
more striking and visible on the hat or lapel. The great thing is
how elaborate many Victorian stick pins were, inclusive of precious
gemstones and fine enamel work. This piece has a royalty theme with
the 14k gold crown inset with pearls, the coat of arms inset with
rose diamonds, and the enamel coat of arms. Several of the individual
pins have markings on the rear including the crown with 14k and
a maker's mark on the leaf. It measures approximately 2.25" high
and 1.75" wide at the widest point, and it's in excellent, original
condition. |

Different
from what we typically list on the Fine Antiques pages, we wanted
to make sure the maximum number of Collectics visitors saw these
just in vintage Revo sunglasses with the extremely hard to find
and sought after green tinted lens and bronze etched metal frame,
model . These vintage Revo sunglasses were made back when Revo
frames were made in Italy (so marked on frame) and the Revo lens
were much higher quality relatively speaking than new, modern
Revos. The frames themselves are as good as the lens on these
vintage Revos, with tortoise shell sidebars leading to bronzed
and etched metal corner hinges that have "Revo" raised
in the metal. It was impossible to capture in a photo, but the
entire surface of the metal frame holding the lens are etched
for a subtle but effective additional measure of design flair.
These vintage sunglasses are in very good condition with only
the most minor lens scratches and marked on the sidebars of the
frame 1207/010, "Frame Italy", and additional markings.
They measure approximately 5.0" wide with 5.5" long
sidebars and lens 1.75" x 1.5" and with no case. Great
buy and won't last!

Large
pair of 19th century English Staffordshire bisque porcelain figurines
in the Romantic style of a young boy and young girl. The girl carries
two spouted buckets, wears a lavender rose trimmed skirt, laced
bodice, light blue puffed sleeves, and standing on a green foliate
base trimmed in gold. The boy wears rolled up pink trousers and
blue shirt with flower trim and tan sash, carrying two buckets and
standing on a matching green foliate base with gold trim. Note the
19th century detail in the faces, the trim of the outfits, and the
finely textured rendering in the bisque porcelain. Both are marked
on the bottom with the stylized knot mark used by early English
manufacturers in the Staffordshire region. Rarest of all, both of
these figural pieces are in mint condition, almost unheard of for
pieces of this age still on the open market. They are both large,
standing a full 18" high on bases which are approximately 5.5" in
diameter. Excellent examples of early porcelain artistry in Europe.

combined with the endless search for beauty and innovation."

tight weave which is very well done. A real beauty, the watch measures
approximately 7.25" long and the face itself is approximately 0.75"
x 0.75". The watch is in excellent shape excepted for a crack in
the crystal, easily replaced. The face of the watch is marked Corum
and Van Cleef & Arpels, and the rear of the watch is marked
with the manufacturer's mark and 11165. The inside of the clasp
is marked Corum, 760, and 18k |

Monumental
exotic Belgian porcelain covered jar or urn c. early to mid 1900s
has so many fine features we really don't know where to start. Made
by Boch Freres, a well known Belgian ceramic maker, this covered
urn or jar (ginger jar?) is in a pattern called Vieux Rhodes which
has matching dinnerware if you are lucky enough to ever find it.
The size of the piece struck us first, standing a full 16.0"
high and 9.0" in diameter at the widest point; the opening
without the top cover is approximately 4.5". We love the rich,
vibrant colors and the exotic landscape of colorful flowers, ferns,
a peacock, birds flying overhead, and the dog perched on top of
the covered jar adds that final bit of unique flair. The jar has
subtle ridges which we find a lot more interesting than smooth vessels
of this shape because the little indents help catch light and make
the porcelain surface really shimmer. The interior of the porcelain
has a subtle blue shade to it, and we believe this to be polychromed
Delftware. It's fully and properly marked on the bottom with the
Vieux Rhodes Boch "Handworked" mark, and it's in excellent
condition and part of a major Greenwich, CT estate collection of
antique ceramics; cross listed on Porcelain 1. |

Terrific
marked Quezal perfume bottle standing approximately 4" tall and
4.5" wide at the widest point. The glass is a highly and precisely
decorated green iridescent, beautiful to view with or without direct
lighting. The bottle is topped by a sterling silver top on a hinge,
and the hinge is marked Sterling. Quezal glass was sometimes fitted
with sterling silver stoppers and embellishments, and in fact the
company was purchased by Gorham in its later years before production
finally ceased. The bottom has a polished pontil and is clearly
and properly etched in the glass Quezal and underneath Y 257. Guaranteed
period Quezal glass and definitely no reproduction. Great artistry
and in perfect condition.

Beautiful,
elegant, and rare German Art Deco porcelain soup tureen by KPM c.
1920. Note the ridged blue and gold trim surrounding the piece midpoint
and the fantastic Art Deco styled top and side handles. Note how
the middle turns inward every few inches in the way the porcelain
was made and decorated...it's a small detail, but it catches the
eye. Large at 15.5" long, 9.25" wide, and approximately 11" high
with the lid on, this rare soup tureen is in near mint condition
with only a tiny, tiny chip on the interior edge of the lid
(look closely in the photo). The bottom has numerous KPM marks of
the Royal Porcelain Manufactory, also known as the State's Porcelain
Manufactory used from 1832. You would be guaranteed to pay more

Very
finely done oil painting of a serene early evening village scene
set against the banks of a small river and evoking a European feel.
We love the cool warm blue colors that dominate this painting, and
the artsit's technique is quite interesting in contrasting rectangles
of paint application done with putty knife type tools as seen in
the water with fine, elongated brush strokes that comprise the sky.
It's a visually very appealing work that is a perfect complement
to most any home decor, and the colors of blued, grays, reds, and
yellows with white highlights are very vibrant and exude a calming
feeling. The painting is artist signed in the top right corner by
Tom Abram, and it's very nicely framed in a wood frame with a black
band that really sets off the painting- framed by Grand Central
Artists Materials in New York City and retaining their original
paper label on the rear. The canvas and frame are both in very good
condition, and framed the piece measures approximately 27.5"
x 23.5". Priced to sell, it comes to you right off the wall
of a major Greenwich, CT horse country estate; cross listed on Art

New listing! Probably the best hair comb we've ever offered for
sale, this stunning and elaborate vintage haircomb measures a monumental
8.0" high and a span of a full 6.0"! Intricate wire work
comprises the upper portion of this super fine comb, appearing as
if petals of a flower and each intricate petal crowned by an inset
faux pearl in the center. Each of the 8 individual stalks is individually
wired, and then there's a nice detail in the center wherein each
of the 8 strands are connected and wired together with faux pearl
accents between the individual wires. Each of the petals can move
on its wire to subtly alter the shape or look if you so desire-
note how we moved one petal in the photograph. A wire bow of identical
design crowns the top of the 2 celluloid prongs, each a full 4.5"
long. Words really can't describe properly the hand working and
craftsmanship that you see in this elaborate and intricate accessory.
The entire hair comb is in good condition with only a minor internal
stress fracture visible under close examination in the celluloid,
and it comes to you sure not to last long and direct from a Hilton
